Call it a caftan, call it a tunic, call it a shirt dress, we call it perfect!  Or, as our fit model exclaimed when she first put it on, "fire!"  The Easy Shirt Dress is officially an ocean+main classic as it ticks all the boxes:  easy fit, 100% cotton for easy care, looks great on everyone, and of course, pockets.   We love the mid-length sleeves that skim the elbow or can be rolled up for cool-girl chic.  The voluminous body is magically breezy and flattering at the same time, and the mandarin collar is just the right shape to flatter every body every time.  We also love the drop yoke in the back for a modern take on the classic shirt-dress silhouette.   

Insider tip: this one is intentionally cut VERY generously so expect an oversized fit.

Nicely made but pricey

Ocean and mAin are fine and service oriented. The dress is really a good caftan. And given lack of any detailing at all it is pricey for what it is. Fabric and construction is good.

Beautiful Color

As always, this tunic is beautiful. The color, the fabric…wonderful. I have this in black, red, and now this gorgeous teal! It runs large so be sure to check sizing.

beautiful comfortable dress

I love this dress. It's closer to navy than teal but it's comfortable and elegant. I highly recommend. I bought the S/M and worried that I might be a M/L (typically an 8-10 size) but there is so much fabric it works perfectly.

I live in this dress!

I love it. I instantly feel relaxed when I slip it on. Easy fit. Great color. Easy breezy. I can wear to the pool, to the market, to chill out, and to sleep. I’d like a mid-length version if they had one to mix it up.

The Art of Perfection

I have to say that I am extremely happy I ordered this cotton shirt dress. It is absolutely perfect. I have been trying to find something like this for a while--nothing has seemed quite right--until this one. It is perfect and I plan to buy another for my birthday at the end of July, if I can wait that long. The fabric, the fit, the design--all extremely well done and well thought out. A winner!
