Positive Luxury’s mission is to inspire people to buy better and influence brands to do better. PL awards the Butterfly Mark to luxury brands that are committed to sustainability which helps consumers shop with confidence.
The Butterfly Mark is an interactive trust mark that identifies the brands in the Positive Luxury community of #brandstotrust. It offers brand transparency at the point-of-sale in a consumer-friendly way.
To earn this coveted trust mark, brands must pass a stringent annual assessment that examines sustainability from a holistic point of view; encompassing governance, social and environmental frameworks, philanthropy and innovation.
As soon as we found Positive Luxury, we appied immediately for a butterfly mark. We'd love to be in such good company.
Germany has a booming conscious living community and Hamburg based MOCHNI.COM is leading the way. Through daily original content, they answer questions about sustainability, fair fashion, wellness, and eco travel. Mochni features stories of founders, designers and brands who offer transparent insight behind their products and companies and pledges to feature only eco brands which act ethically and are focused on environmental friendly actions in their supply chain.
Magnifeco is an exclamation of joy in finding something ‘extraordinarily fine, superb and eco.’ Launched in 2008, Magnifeco's goal is to promote and celebrate eco-fashion and the designers who strive to make fashion a better place.
Their goal is to discover and share designers, artisans and makers who have ‘change’ at their core, to find products and services that never sacrifice design or beauty, and brands with a triple bottom line philosophy - people, planet and prosperity. Bravo.
We always trust Magnifeco to find brands that are the real deal, no ‘greenwashing’ or companies who think that one a recycled shopping bag qualifies them as 'eco' company. Thanks, Magnifeco for keeping it real.
Sustainably Chic was launched in 2014 by a former fashionista who, like the team at ocean+main, wanted to change the way the business of fashion was done. Beautiful pics of the founder, Natalie, mix with informative stories about ethical shopping apps, eco-travel and even aromatherapy scarves. Follow her Instagram, too. Dressing conciously never looked so good. @sustainablychic
Galerie.LA is not a blog, but an on-line store, who we give major props for finding some of the coolest eco-fashion out there. Our LA neighbors have a mission: to have a positive environmental and social impact without sacrificing style and design. With that in mind, they have thoughtfully curated a selection of some of the greatest sustainable fashion from around the world.
They focus on intriguing designers who use sustainable production methods to reduce their environmental footprint while taking the ethical business practices necessary to benefit people and communities.
Galerie.LA also promotes transparency. They work closely their network of designers to increase the traceability of the products, disclosing where every item in our store is made and the materials it is made from.
We say, "mission accomplished."
