Malaysia Collection: Fern Print Short Silk Caftan - Only 18 Made
Eco friendly caftans and tunics inspired by the ocean, made on main street. Ethically sourced and locally made in Los Angeles.
Inspired by the rainforest of Malaysia, this beautiful fern print is hand blocked four meters at time by Abdul Rahman, or Pok Mud. Pok Mud prints about 8 - 10 panels a day, or 8 -10 caftans. His wife, Aziza and their gentle son, Azizi, dye and finish the fabric once Pok Mud is finished wax-blocking the fabric. See Pok Mud and his family at work in the video below.) It's easy to see why this print is called "Paradiso" as rainforest outside the craft center in Kuala Lumpur is truly paradise. Made in our classic caftan silhouette, it comes with a removable belt that can be worn 4 ways: belted above the waist empire-style, tied at the natural waist, looped through the top and bottom loops and tied in the back for a clean line, or with no belt at all. This one is the perfect vacation or stay-cation dress. Only 18 made.
